Team BCR’s Justin Allison Fights Back for 7th Place Finish at Kentucky Speedway

Team BCR’s Justin Allison Fights Back for 7th Place Finish at Kentucky Speedway

(Sparta, KY – September 21, 2014)   After starting 9th in the ZLOOP 150 at Kentucky Speedway, Justin Allison fought hard throughout the 100 laps to capture his 6th top-10 finish of the season in 7th place.

“We were a little aero tight when we were running with traffic, but overall the car felt great,” says Justin Allison. “We lost track position on our pit stop, but we definitely made a ton of gains throughout the race, making our way up to 4th at one point.”

After qualifying for the ZLOOP 150 in the 9th position, Allison maintained his position in the top-10 through the first half of the race. On lap 25, the caution flag flew; giving Team BCR the option to come into pit, but the team chose to stay out. Some of the cars on the lead lap chose to pit, giving Allison the chance to start 5th at the restart. Once the green flag flew again, Allison, in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion made his way up to 4th during a few laps.

When the second caution flag flew for debris on lap 45, where Allison was 7th at the time, the car was still a little tight. Crew Chief, Teddy Brown and the crew serviced the car for a wedge adjustment, air pressure adjustment, a change of four Hoosier tires and Sunoco Fuel. When the pit crew went to change tires on the left side of the No. 88 HaVACo Ford, they had difficulties getting the car jacked up, which resulted in several lost positions.

Allison would be forced to restart 16th at the green flag on lap 52. During the last half of the race, Allison fought hard to gain back track position, finishing 7th.

“All in all, we were top-10 all day yesterday during practice and qualifying, but during the race I knew we would have easily been top-5,” says Allison. “Howard Bixman and the crew at Team BCR made sure I had one of the best cars out there as always and I can’t thank them for their commitment and hard work this week. I’d also like to thank HaVACo, Rush Racing Products, Casite, Stanley Industries and Tornado Alley Car Wash for their continued support.”

Justin Allison Earns Career First ARCA Win with Team BCR

Justin Allison Earns Career First ARCA Win with Team BCR

(Long Pond, PA – August 2, 2014)  Strategy and talent came into play yesterday at Pocono Raceway when Team BCR’s rookie driver, Justin Allison earned his career first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards win.

“We made the right call by coming into pit when we did,” says Justin Allison, who is the first Allison to visit victory lane since 1993 when Davey Allison won at Richmond. “I’m at a loss for words. I know we had a good car, just a little bit tight, but we made the right calls. I can’t thank everyone enough, HaVACo, Rush Racing Products and Team BCR.”
image
Allison had a car to contend for a win with on Thursday’s “Tricky Triangle” practice session, when he posted the second fastest lap time of the day. He then qualified for the Modspace 125 in 5th.

Rainy weather just minutes before driver’s introductions pushed the start time of the Modspace 125 an hour back. With more dark clouds in the distance, all teams knew strategy was going to be key to winning the race if rain were to persist.

Allison, 22, was running 4th through the first two cautions of the race. On lap 18, Crew Chief Teddy Brown and Team Manager Howard Bixman, made the call to bring in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion seeing that the weather was clearing up and they would more than likely see all 50 laps that night. Team BCR’s crew just topped the No. 88 off with fuel and sent Allison back out to restart 17th.

This was no problem for Allison, who made his way into the top-10 on lap 25. On lap 36, he ran into lap traffic and Will Kimmel in the No. 69 car, which was the only other car that had already taken a pit stop in front of him. Justin took the low line and squeezed by all four cars to take away the 4th position. At this point, all three leaders in front of Allison still needed to pit. Once this happened, Allison would take the lead for the remaining 11 laps and earn his first ARCA Racing Series win in his career.

“Will (Kimmel) was trying to make ground on us at the end, but we had them in turn 3,” says Allison. “I don’t know what it is about this track, but I love driving here. Yes, it’s a 2.5-mile track, but you have to drive it like a short track and take each corner at a time.”

Team Manager, Howard Bixman said, “Justin did a great job in the spring race and for him to win this is not only big for him, but the entire Allison family. This really shows how strong Team BCR is. This is our fifth win of the season and this time in the No. 88 car. The guys have been working hard at the shop and at the track. I can’t thank everyone enough for their help this weekend. It’s rare to see a driver pick up on this track as quickly as Justin has. He has a very bright future ahead.”

Justin Allison’s day ends early at Lucas Oil Raceway

Justin Allison’s day ends early at Lucas Oil Raceway

(Indianapolis, IN – July 28, 2014) Electrical issues ended Justin Allison’s night early at Lucas Oil Raceway in the SCOTT Get Geared Up 200.

“I couldn’t quite get comfortable with the track until the end of the second practice session,” says Allison. “The car felt great during practice, it just took me some time to learn the track and get use to it. We finally had a great run during qualifying and I was looking forward to a strong finish during the race.”

Allison posted the 5th fastest lap time during Menard’s Pole Qualifying. As the SCOTT Get Geared Up 200 progressed, Allison kept inside the top-10. When the first caution came out, Crew Chief Teddy Brown made the call for a track bar adjustment, a change of four Hoosier tires and to cap the No. 88 HaVACo Ford with Sunoco fuel, sending Allison out to 6th for the restart.

Allison maintained his position up until the second caution of the race. A few of the cars on the lead lap took tires while Allison stayed out to keep track position.

The third caution flew on lap 160 of 200 and the leader was involved in a crash. Brown once again brought the No. 88 Ford Fusion down pit road so the crew could service the car with four tires and make a track bar adjustment.

Allison lined up for the remaining laps. Once the green flag flew, the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford made contact with the wall entering turn 1. With right side damage, the rookie would maintain the ninth position up until lap 197 when the No. 88 Ford starting backing down. Team BCR thought the car was out of fuel until realizing there were electrical issues. Allison finished the race in 13th, ending his top-10 streak.

“We were tight off and on throughout the race,” says Allison. “The car was strong all day and I was able to learn a lot from this track. Howard (Bixman) gave me advice all day, which helped me gain my confidence and improve our performance. I want to thank Team BCR for giving me a good car and we appreciate the support from our partners, Havacosales.com and Rush Racing Products. I’m really excited to get back to Pocono, since we ran really well there in June.”

Season Recap: Justin Allison earned four consecutive top-10 finishes in the 2014 ARCA Racing Series season at Toledo Speedway, Pocono Raceway, Michigan Int’l Speedway and most recently at Chicagoland Speedway. His highest finishing race was at Michigan International Speedway when he earned an ARCA career best of 3rd.

Meet Justin: Justin will be signing autographs throughout the day at the HaVACo merchandise hauler outside the track on Friday, July 25.

Team Manager, Howard Bixman:  “I think Justin will perform real well in Indianapolis. He’s on a top-10 streak right now, so that’ll give him a lot of confidence going into this race. Justin also tends to favor short tracks since that’s where he holds most of his racing background. I’m really excited to see what he has to offer at Lucas Oil Raceway.”

Q & A with Justin Allison

As you continue to search for that first win, how do you expect Lucas Oil to go?

“We’ve been working really hard this year at Team BCR to be not only competitive with the rest of the field, but to pick up a win or two. With that said, I’ve never been to Lucas Oil Raceway, but I have a ton of short track experience. I expect us to be pretty good. If we can’t get that first win, my goal is to just come out with a top-5 finish, if not better and have a clean race car at the end.”

Team BCR’s Rookie Justin Allison Earns Fourth Straight Top-10 Finish

Team BCR’s Rookie Justin Allison Earns Fourth Straight Top-10 Finish

(Joliet, IL – July 21, 2014)  In his Chicagoland Speedway ARCA Racing Series debut, Justin Allison earns his fourth consecutive top-10 finish in last weekend’s race.

“We struggled a bit during the weekend but we definitely bounced back and made the changes we needed to finish strong,” says 21-year-old Allison.

Justin Allison started the race from the 8th position and was running in 7th when the car was just too loose to handle for the rookie driver. Allison spun on the backstretch, causing the first caution of the race. No contact was made and the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion would come in for a change of four Hoosier tires, Sunoco fuel and track bar adjustments.
IMG_2649
Allison restarted 18th at the green flag, making up two spots in three laps. As the next caution came out on lap 21, Allison mentioned the car was still too loose to handle so Team BCR brought the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion in for a track bar adjustment and fuel, sending Allison back out to 19th for the restart.

The changes to the Ford seemed to help, since Allison made up nine spots by lap 48, taking away the 10th position. A caution mid-way through the race gave the team another opportunity to pit considering the car was still too loose for Allison to finish strong. The team made a wedge and track bar adjustment, changed all four Hoosier tires and capped the No. 88 off with Sunoco fuel, sending him back out to 10th.

After making his way into the top-5 in the remainder of the race, Allison slipped back in the closing laps to hold on to the 8th position and earn another top-10 finish in his Chicagoland Speedway debut.

“We were loose all weekend, but we finally got the car right where we needed it during that last caution,” says Allison. “During the last few laps of the race, though, the car started to get really tight. The weekend could have gone better, but overall we did well and learned a lot this weekend. I have to thank HaVACo, Rush Racing Products and everyone at Team BCR for their commitment this weekend.”

Team BCR Rookie Driver Justin Allison Earns Third Straight Career Best Finish

Team BCR Rookie Driver Justin Allison Earns Third Straight Career Best Finish

(Brooklyn, MI – June 15, 2014)  Rookie driver, Justin Allison earns his career best finish of 3rd in his Michigan debut on Friday. The finish marks his third career best finish this year after finishing 7th at Toledo and then 5th at Pocono.

“Once I got comfortable with the car in the first few laps of the race, the car was fast and I knew at that point we were going to have a car to beat,” says Allison.
IMG_2089
Allison qualified the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion in 12th for the Corrigan Oil 200 at Michigan Int’l Speedway.

Allison mentioned, “We were a little free in qualifying and I was a little conservative. I wasn’t sure what to expect during the race, but after five or 10 laps, the car handled really well.”

After starting 12th, the No. 88 Ford powered by RoushYates Engines, made its way up to the 4th position on lap 16. Allison posted faster lap times than the race leader, but lost too much track position to compete for the lead. Not until the leaders came onto pit road under green flag conditions, Allison would lead the race for three laps.

Team BCR called in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford under green flag conditions for a change of four Hoosier tires and Sunoco fuel, sending Allison back out to the 4th position.

The caution flag flew for the second time of the race on lap 75. Team BCR decided to keep the No. 88 out, but Allison would have to conserve as much fuel as possible. Once the green flag flew for the restart, Allison had one eye on the fuel pressure gauge and the other on the leader, leaving him to finish the race in the 3rd position.

“I have to thank Team BCR and Howard Bixman for giving me another great car,” says Allison. “We have led laps and have been very competitive the last three races. Now it’s time to lead the last lap for our first win. I also have to thank HaVACo along with Rush Racing Products for giving me the opportunity to carry on the family legacy.”

Team BCR and Justin Allison plan to enter in the Ansell ActivArmr 150 at Chicagoland Speedway on July 19.

Team BCR Rookie Driver Justin Allison Earns Top-5 Finish at Tricky Triangle

Team BCR Rookie Driver Justin Allison Earns Top-5 Finish at Tricky Triangle

(Long Pond, PA – June 8, 2014)  What seemed like an exciting career best finish was disappointing for the rookie who had some of the fastest lap times throughout the weekend. Justin Allison, who had never even seen Pocono Raceway in person, made his debut on Saturday, where he earned a 5th place finish with Team BCR.

Driving the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion, Allison posted the fastest lap time in Wednesday’s afternoon testing session.
IMG_1908
“It was just a matter of me getting comfortable with the car,” says Allison. “Our car was good the first day of testing, even on old tires. All I needed after that was just to get comfortable with the track and the car. The track is so much different from any other track because it’s so difficult to stay in the same rhythm every lap.”

Allison qualified the No. 88 HaVACo Ford in 3rd and found his way right behind the #22 car up until lap 27, when he finally made his way around and up into the 2nd position. The No. 88 powered by RoushYates Engines was posting faster lap times than the leader but lost the track position to compete for the lead early in the race.

Team BCR brought Allison in twice during the Pocono ARCA 200, with the first stop being a fuel-only stop and the second for a change of Hoosier tires, Sunoco fuel and adjustments. When Allison tried to exit the second stop, he found himself caught in the fourth gear. This made the restarts incredibly difficult and Allison would slowly back drop to 10th but managed to gain track position in the last ten laps to earn a career best top-5 finish.

Allison said, “I’m a little disappointed considering we should have won this in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford. Howard Bixman and Team BCR put together one of the best cars in the field, but we just had a gear issue. I learned a lot at Pocono and even got to lead a few laps of the race. I’m looking forward to coming back in August in order to compete for a win. I can’t thank HaVACoSales.com for their support this year.”

Howard Bixman, Team Manager and Crew Chief said, “Justin impressed me with how fast he adopted to this difficult track. He is one of the most talented young drivers in this series.  If we wouldn’t have had the problem at the end, I think we could have definitely had a win from him. All in all, we had a great weekend topping the leader board during testing, a strong 3rd place qualifying effort and the highest finishing rookie of the race. I’m sure Justin will take this confidence and momentum into next weekend’s Michigan race.”

Team BCR and Justin Allison making Pocono debut

Pre-Race Report
Team BCR and Justin Allison making Pocono debut

(Mooresville, NC – June 3, 2014)  Justin Allison is set to make his Pocono Raceway debut this weekend piloting the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion in the ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards. In preparation for his debut, he’ll be testing at the Tricky Triangle on Wednesday, June 4.

Season Recap: Allison will make his fourth start of the 2014 ARCA Racing Series season at Pocono Raceway. His first two starts being at Daytona and Talladega. Allison then earned his career best finish at Toledo Speedway two weeks ago, finishing in 7th.
xlarge
Family History at the Tricky Triangle: Justin’s Great Uncle, Bobby Allison holds the most consecutive Pocono wins in NASCAR to this day. He won both Pocono races in 1982, then the spring race in 1983.

Marketing Partners: Allison will drive the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion with Associate Marketing Partners, Rush Racing Products, Tornado Alley Car Wash and Casite.

Meet Justin: Justin will be signing autographs on Saturday morning with other ARCA Racing Series drivers from 9:45-10:15am in the autograph area outside the track. He’ll also be signing at the Realtree Trailer throughout the weekend. Go to Justin’s Fan Facebook Page for updates throughout the weekend!

Team Manager / Crew Chief, Howard Bixman: “I’m impressed with how well Justin has adjusted to these cars, he did a great job at Toledo two weeks ago. He gave us great feedback all weekend and finished in the top-10 for his first ARCA short track race. We will be testing on Wednesday before the race and there’s a lot for Justin to learn at this difficult track. We’ve been working hard in the shop to get the No. 88 Ford ready and I’m expecting to have a strong outing.”

Q & A with Justin Allison

How are you preparing for the Tricky Triangle considering you’ve never been there and there’s so many different corners to learn?

“There really is no way to prepare myself for this type of track other than figuring it out myself. I’ve heard how fun and exciting it can be, but I also know there’s a lot to learn to be competitive. I don’t do any sort of simulator racing or watch videos like some drivers may. I think it’s best to just feel the track out myself. Howard and the team will give me a great car and the open test day will give me extra laps throughout the week.”

Being that your family has an extensive history at Pocono, with Bobby winning three races but also ending his career at the track, do you feel this factors into how you will perform?

“I don’t think the Allison history will have any factor into how we’ll perform at Pocono. Every track you to go to, there’s a risk you’re taking. It’s always helpful to know someone else who has the experience at the particular track, but it doesn’t mean I’m going to perform just like that. We’re in totally different equipment and with a winning team.”

Tune into the Race: The Pocono ARCA 200 will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 on Saturday, June 7 at 1pm ET. Practice for the race will take place on Friday, June 7 from 10-11:50am. Menards Pole Qualifying will begin on Friday at 2:30pm ET.

Justin Allison Earns Career Best ARCA Finish at Toledo

Justin Allison Earns Career Best ARCA Finish at Toledo

(Toledo, OH – May 19, 2014)  Justin Allison in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion earned his first ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards top-10 finish in the Menards 200 yesterday at Toledo Speedway.

Allison began the race in the 10th position, gaining two positions by lap 51, where the caution flag flew. A majority of the field came in to pit, but Crew Chief Howard Bixman decided it was too early in the race to come in. Justin became the race leader and continued to run in the top-10.
IMG_0148
Once the second caution flag flew, Bixman called the No. 88 Ford in for a change of four tires, cap off the fuel and some minor adjustments. Allison would stay in the top-10 until coming in for a final pit stop on lap 130, sending him back out to 13th. In those last laps, Allison made up the positions, to earn a 7th place finish.

“Overall, this was a great day for the No. 88 HaVACo Ford and Team BCR,” says Allison. “Howard made a great call on pit strategy to give us tires when nobody had any left towards the end of the race. I learned a few things towards the end of the race that I wish I would have picked up earlier on. I have to thank Howard for all the effort that is put into this program and the crew for putting together a great car.”

Crew Chief, Howard Bixman commented on Justin’s performance, “Wow, I’m really impressed with Justin today. He did a great job all day and showed he has the talent to be a contender. We had a goal to qualify and finish in the top-10, and we accomplished that. I think Justin learned a lot from the race today, and it will help as he progresses throughout the season.”

Allison’s next race on schedule is the Pocono ARCA 200 on June 7. The race will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 at 1pm ET.

Justin Allison to Make ARCA Short Track Debut

Justin Allison to Make ARCA Short Track Debut

(Mooresville, NC – May 13, 2014) Having only speedway ARCA experience from Kansas, Daytona and Talladega, Justin Allison will make his ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards short track debut at Toledo Speedway this weekend. Allison will pilot the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion with Team BCR Racing.

Although this is Justin’s first ARCA short track race, running on short tracks is certainly nothing new. Allison started his racing career in the Allison Legacy Series in 2006, where the series’ schedule consists of mainly short tracks. From 2007-2010, he won five races in the series. He then continued to dominate as he won the Allison Legacy Series Championship in 2011, winning 7 races and finishing top-5, 20 times in 21 races. From 2012-2013, Allison ran select PASS Super Late Model races.

“All of my racing experience comes from short track racing,” says Allison. “I’m looking forward to going to Toledo. We have a winning short track program at Team BCR, and the No. 88 HaVACo Ford should be strong.”

Allison tested the No. 88 powered by RoushYates Engines at South Boston Speedway yesterday in preparation for the Menards 200.

Allison added, “Testing at South Boston Speedway gave me the extra confidence I needed. Short tracks are definitely more in my comfort zone. Howard Bixman and the crew gave me a great car, and I learned a great deal throughout the day. I know there’s room for improvement and a tremendous amount I need to learn moving forward. I’m really excited to see what the weekend holds for our #88 team.”

Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “Justin did an outstanding job at the test yesterday. Once we had our base line, he turned competitive laps and I can tell he feels very comfortable at a short track. We worked on all kinds of scenarios at the test from short runs, long runs and restarts. His feedback was excellent and he’s going to have one competitive car at Toledo.”

The HaVACo Souvenir Trailer will be at Toledo Speedway with all of Justin Allison’s “Continuing the Legacy” apparel including hats, shirts and more. Stop by if you’re at the track!

The Menards 200 at Toledo Speedway will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 at 2pm ET on Sunday, May 18.  Two practice sessions will take place on Saturday, from 11:45am-12:30pm and 1-1:45pm. Menards Pole Qualifying is set to start on Saturday at 3:30pm.

The New ‘Alabama Gang’ Heading to Toledo

The New ‘Alabama Gang’ Heading to Toledo

(Mooresville, NC – May 7, 2014)  As the grandson of Donnie Allison and great nephew of Bobby Allison (members of the original Alabama Gang), Justin Allison hopes to carry on the family legacy as he advances in his racing career. Allison will attempt to make this dream become a reality with the help from Team BCR teammate, Grant Enfinger, an Alabama native. Together, they could become the new “Alabama Gang.”
10268409_692678637460079_5007116616195435945_n
Allison has made only two starts in the 2014 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards season in the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford Fusion. With only speedway experience under his belt from Kansas in 2013, and Daytona and Talladega in 2014, the ARCA rookie will make his ARCA short track debut at Toledo Speedway.

“This is where the ‘real racing’ will happen,” says Allison. “Racing at these speedways, such as Daytona and Talladega, has a tremendous amount of variables.  At the short tracks, you not only have to bring a fast car, but have the talent as a driver. Howard Bixman and Team BCR has a proven winning short track program. I think we’ll be a threat to our competition in Toledo since short track racing is what I grew up on and have the most experience with.”

Allison’s teammate at Team BCR, Grant Enfinger in the No. 90 Motor Honey/Casite – Triple K Construction Ford, started off the year in victory lane. Not just once, or twice, but three times! And then remained to dominate as he earned his second-career pole award at Talladega Superspeedway.
-74a3d490cda5aa24
Enfinger raced Schrader door to door in last season’s Toledo race, until cutting a tire down, with just a few laps left of the race. Fairhope, AL’s driver will make his fifth start of the season as the current points leader for the 2014 ARCA Racing Series Championship with Team BCR.

Enfinger said, “Toledo’s a really good track to race at. We were very competitive last year and we’re bringing that same car back with us. We’ve made improvements, and I think we’re going to be even better than we were.”

The Menards 200 presented by Federated Auto Parts at Toledo Speedway will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 at 2pm ET on Sunday, May 18, 2014.

Justin Allison Finishes Strong after Unfortunate Events

Justin Allison Finishes Strong after Unfortunate Events

(Lincoln, AL – May 5, 2014)  Alabama’s Justin Allison made his ARCA Talladega debut on Saturday, where luck was not on his side. The rookie driver blew two tires throughout the race, leaving him to finish in 19th.

Justin Allison, who is the grandson of Donnie Allison and great nephew of Bobby Allison, was honored to attend the Alabama Gang Superstretch unveiling on Wednesday, April 30. The track named the backstretch in honor of Donnie Allison, Bobby Allison, Davey Allison and Red Farmer (the original Alabama Gang). Justin and his teammate, Grant Enfinger (who is also from Alabama), attended the event as special guests and the new generation of Alabama racers.

“I grew up hearing all the stories about the Alabama Gang,” says Justin Allison. “Growing up, I never thought of them as big racers. I just saw them as family, but they’re still my heroes. As I get older, I’m realizing this is a really big deal.”

After the unveiling, it was finally time for Allison to make his Talladega debut and to continue his family’s legacy. Allison started 25th for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion powered by RoushYates Engines. He was gaining positions in the first half of the race until a tire cut down, sending him into Clay Campbell in the #52 car.

Crew Chief, Howard Bixman called Allison in to fix the damages and sent him back out. Allison could feel a vibration in the car as he made his first lap around, realizing the fender was rubbing against the tire, which cut down another tire. Bixman brought the No. 88 Ford down pit road several more times for repairs. The crew did major repairs to the right side of the HaVACo Ford, while keeping Justin from losing any more positions. Allison fought hard to the end where he finished 19th.

“It’s disappointing our day ended like this,” says Justin Allison. “We had faster lap times than the leaders for a majority of the race, but we couldn’t make up the spots lost. With the green flag pit stops, the field was too spread out. I have to thank my Crew Chief, Howard Bixman and my crew for doing a good job on pit road and building a fast car. I also have to thank my Grandpa, Donnie, for pushing me through the entire race to the end. This opportunity wouldn’t be possible without the support of Havacosales.com and Rush Racing Products.”

The next race on Allison’s schedule is Toledo Speedway on May 18 where the race will be aired live on Fox Sports 1 at 2pm ET.

Allison said, “Now it’s time to go ‘real’ racing at Toledo Speedway. I love short track racing and that’s where my strong suit is. Team BCR has a strong short track program, and we should be a threat there in the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford. ”

Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “Justin did a great job at Talladega this week dealing with a lot of damages. I’m proud of him for keeping focused and finishing strong after all the unfortunate events. Justin has that Allison blood in him and you can tell he is a very talented driver. He provided great feedback and his knowledge of the car is remarkable. Donnie has been his mentor throughout his racing career, and it shows.”

Team BCR Racing and Justin Allison Plan to Carry Family’s Talladega Legacy

(Mooresville, NC – April 29, 2014)  Justin Allison will have all eyes on him this weekend as he makes his Talladega ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards debut with Team BCR Racing in the No. 88 HaVACoSales.com Ford Fusion.

Justin Allison is the grandson of Donnie Allison and nephew of Bobby Allison, who were the original members of the Alabama Gang. Donnie has won two races at the 2.5-mile track while Bobby has won four.
Daytona
“There’s a lot of family history at this track and a lot to live up to,” says Justin Allison. “It’s always been a dream of mine to race at Talladega Superspeedway. Not only do we have a lot of fans in Alabama, but we have a lot of family and friends there to support all of us for many decades.”

The ARCA Racing Series has made changes to the qualifying procedures for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200. Instead of doing a single car, two-lap qualifying run, the drivers will be placed into groups based on practice times.

“We’re really hoping my teammate, Grant Enfinger, and I will be able to help each other during qualifying and then the race,” says Allison. “We wanted to work together at Daytona, but since our chances ended early, we weren’t able to do so. It’s very beneficial to have a strong teammate at a superspeedway.”

Allison also tested the No. 88 HaVACoSales.com Ford Fusion powered by RoushYates Engines at Talladega two weeks ago, where he posted top-5 lap times on the second day of testing.

Allison said, “Howard Bixman [Crew Chief] and the rest of the guys at Team BCR have put together a great car for me so I feel confident going into this. Team BCR is the 2014 Daytona Champion, and our goal is nothing short of winning this. I’d like to thank HaVACo, Rush Racing Products, Tornado Alley Carwash and Randy Jones Nationwide Insurance for the support and faith in me to do this.”
Donnie/Justin
Crew Chief, Howard Bixman is confident in Justin’s capabilities at Talladega, “The test went very well with Justin. He’s never competed at Talladega and he did a great job. Donnie Allison spotted for Justin during the test, giving him great advice. Justin is a natural and a very talented driver. With his teammate Grant Enfinger, from Alabama as well, we may have the ‘New Alabama Gang.’ I’m really excited for him and his family to continue this legacy.”

Justin will make various appearances throughout the week. One of the events he will attend is on Friday, May 2 at the International Motorsports Hall of Fame for the Race Fever event. The annual event benefits the Alabama Institute for the Deaf and Blind. Justin and his teammate, Grant Enfinger, will do an on-stage interview at 5pm and then sign autographs for the children of the institute as well as other attendees of the event. Come by if you’re in the area!

Justin will also be at Talladega Superspeedway in the Sprint Fan Zone prior to the Sprint Cup Race. He will be at the Realtree trailer both Saturday and Sunday, times posted at the trailer. On Sunday, he will be in the grandstands signing autographs from 9-11am.

The International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1 at 11am ET on Saturday, May 3. Practice takes place on Friday, May 2 from 9-11am CT. Menards Pole Qualifying will begin at 3:30pm CT. Stay connected during practice and qualifying by going to www.arcaracing.com or by liking Team BCR or Justin’s Facebook Page. Team BCR Racing and Justin Allison to Attend Open Talladega Test

(Mooresville, NC – April 14, 2014) In preparation for the International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 at Talladega Superspeedway, Justin Allison and Team BCR will attend the open test on April 16 and 17 in the #88 Havacosales.com Ford Fusion powered by RoushYates Engines.

The ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards open test at Talladega will give the rookie driver a chance to gain valuable superspeedway experience, and learn the ins and outs of the track before he makes his Talladega debut. Allison made his Daytona debut in February with Team BCR where he was involved in the multiple car incident early in the race while running in the 8th position.

“Talladega is high on my list to have a good outing this season,” says 21-year-old driver, Justin Allison. “When I tested with Team BCR at Daytona last December, we were 3rd overall on the speed charts. We’re bringing back the same car we had at Daytona, completely redone. Howard (Bixman) and the crew put a lot of effort into this superspeedway program and I’m looking forward to the test. I would like to thank Havacosales.com, Rush Racing Products and all our partners that have supported us.”

“Justin has shown us he has a tremendous amount of talent,” commented Crew Chief, Howard Bixman. “Daytona was disappointing for the #88 team, but Justin has adapted very well with our program. With that being said, we’re all looking forward to Talladega. The entire Allison family is very excited as well that Justin is carrying on the Allison Legacy at Talladega.”

The International Motorsports Hall of Fame 200 is set to take place on Saturday, May 3 at 10am. The race will be broadcasted live on Fox Sports 1.

Team BCR Racing signs Justin Allison for nine more races

(Mooresville, NC – February 28, 2014) Team BCR is proud to announce Justin Allison has committed to nine more races with the team, driving the No. 88 Havacosales.comFord in the 2014 ARCA Racing Series presented by Menards.

“This is an exciting opportunity for me,” says Justin Allison. “Howard Bixman and the crew at Team BCR provided me with some great cars at Kansas and Daytona. We left a little disappointed at Daytona since we were running in the top ten and logging laps, waiting for the race to play out.”

Allison was involved in a 15-car incident early in the Lucas Oil 200 at Daytona with the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford Fusion powered by RoushYates.

Allison also said, “I know we had the potential to have a top-5 if not better at Kansas and Daytona. Putting that behind us, we now have nine other races to look forward to on our schedule. I’m honored to be a part of the HaVACo family and represent them throughout 2014 and beyond!”

Daniel Prischak, VP of HaVACo, is thrilled to be a part of the 2014 ARCA Racing Series, “Teaming up with Team BCR Racing and Justin Allison gives us an avenue to advertise and market our easy to use line of HVAC products. We are a family oriented business that fits well with the Allison family tradition. We look forward to the racing schedule we have put together with Team BCR, Justin and the Allison family.”

Justin Allison’s schedule includes the 2014 ARCA Racing Series TV races played on Fox Sports 1. Those races will be held at the following tracks: Talladega, Toledo, Michigan, Chicagoland, Indianapolis, Kentucky, Kansas and both Pocono races.

Crew Chief of the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion, Howard Bixman said, “Justin has plenty of potential and talent to be one of the top drivers in this series. I’m very proud to be associated with the Allison Legacy. I know he will go far considering all of the support he has. His grandfather, Donnie Allison, has given him a lot of advice and has been a big part of his career. Justin’s teammate, Grant Enfinger, is also always willing to provide assistance. This two-car effort should be strong and very competitive this year. I look forward to working with him this season, and helping him progress as a driver, so he is prepared for the higher ranks of NASCAR.”

Tough Luck for Justin Allison and Team BCR Racing at Daytona

(Daytona Beach, FL – February 17, 2014)  Justin Allison and Team BCR Racing had a strong car, qualifying 12th for the Lucas Oil 200, but due to a 15-car wreck early in the race, their day ended early.

Allison tested at Daytona back in December with over 70 drivers and posted the 3rdfastest lap time throughout the entire weekend. Set to make his Daytona debut, the rookie driver drove the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford up into the 9th position respectively by lap 12 of the race.

Just 13 laps in, the race spiraled out of control when the No. 99 and No. 9 cars triggered a multiple car wreck. Allison quickly turned the wheel in order to avoid the wreck and would have been clear until the No. 66 hit the nose of Allison’s No. 88Havacosales.com Ford Fusion.

“It’s a shame our day had to end like this,” says 21-year-old driver, Justin Allison. “The Team BCR crew and I have been putting a lot of effort into making this car capable of a win. Howard gave me a great car that had the ability to finish well here but I guess it wasn’t in our cards today. I’m thankful I was given the chance to come here and make my Daytona debut with the support from HaVACo and Team BCR.”

Allison also mentioned, “I’d like to congratulate my teammate, Grant Enfinger, on winning the race. The team along with Grant and I work on our cars together at the shop so it’s rewarding to see our hard work paid off.”

Allison and Team BCR hope to bring the No. 88 Havacosales.com Ford Fusion to Mobile International Speedway on March 22.

Team Manager and Crew Chief, Howard Bixman said, “It’s too bad this happened for Justin and the team. A lot of dedication and effort went into Justin’s car. He ran in the top ten and proved throughout speed weeks, he has the ability to be a winner in this series. I‘d like to thank HaVACo for their support. Now it’s just time to focus on the next race on our schedule, so we can have a strong finish Justin is more than capable of.”

Justin Allison to make Daytona Debut with Team BCR: Pre-Race Report

(Mooresville, NC – February 10, 2014) On the journey to carry his family’s legacy, Justin Allison will make his Daytona debut with Team BCR Racing in the No. 88 HaVACo Ford Fusion.

Family Legacy: Justin Allison is the grandson of Donnie Allison, who won the Firecracker 400 at Daytona International Speedway and a 125-mile qualifying race for the Daytona 500 in his career. His uncle Bobby Allison, a former Winston Cup Champion, has won six races at Daytona International Speedway.

Rookie Status: Where short track racing is the norm for the rookie driver, Daytona International Speedway will be the largest track Allison has ever driven on. Justin made his ARCA Racing Series debut with Team BCR at Kansas Speedway’s mile and a half track in 2013. Justin along with the rest of the staff at Team BCR believed he had the potential to take home a top-5 finish at Kansas, but finished up in 11th after a rain-shortened race.

Justin attended the ARCA Daytona test in December, finishing up 3rd overall on the weekend’s speed charts.

History on the Driver: Justin won the 2010 Legacy Racing Series Championship, finishing in the top-5 in 20 out of 21 races. He then ran selected races in the PASS Super Late Model Series and the Allison Legacy Series until 2013 when he made his ARCA debut with Team BCR Racing and Development Team.

HaVACo: HaVACo carries an ever-expanding line of American-made HVAC products for contractors or for the home consumer. HaVACo offers a safe, fast, easy-to-install alternative to the metal fittings on the market today that include start collars, grilles, boots, wyes, reducers and more. These were designed to save both time and money plus the high impact plastic won’t dent or rust. Visit www.havacosales.com to view more information and start shopping.

Q & A with Justin Allison

What were your thoughts going out on the track the very first time at Daytona?

“I was terrified leaving the pits and I did not know what to expect. Of course, I’ve been given plenty of advice from my grandfather [Donnie Allison] along with my teammate Grant Enfinger but you don’t fully know what to expect until you’re out there doing it yourself. Once I got going, though, it wasn’t nearly as bad as I anticipated it to be. My Crew Chief Howard Bixman gave me a great car as the speed charts showed.”

What sort of advice has your grandfather given you and what will you take from that going into the race?

“My grandfather gave me advice in drafting and in single car runs. At this point in my career, all the advice I can get is very helpful. I have a great teammate, Grant Enfinger and a veteran Crew Chief, Howard Bixman to rely on as well.”
