Justin Allison Earns Career Best Kansas Finish In Team Debut

(KANSAS CITY, Kan. – October 6, 2014) – After starting 33rd and avoiding all of the chaos, Justin Allison drove the No. 08 HAVACO Sales/Rush Racing Products/ Collins Engineering Ford Fusion to a solid ninth place finish in the ARCA 98.9 at Kansas Speedway on Friday, Oct. 3, during the final ARCA Racing Series event of the 2014 season.

The effort marks Allison’s best finish at Kansas Speedway. He made his series debut at the speedway last year where he finished 11th. Friday night’s finish is also Justin’s seventh top-10 of the 2014 ARCA Racing Series season.

“To come back to Kansas and finish ninth as a car owner is just an awesome feeling,” Allison said. “My team and I worked so hard and put this car together at the very last minute. I just couldn’t be any more proud of everyone on the team. I’d like to thank HAVACO Technologies, Rush Racing Products, Tornado Alley 3 Minute Car Wash, Collins Engineering and everyone else who made it possible.”

With Menards Pole Qualifying Presented by Ansell being canceled due to rain and shuffling of the schedule, Allison started in the 33rd position. The starting lineup was set by owner points and since this weekend’s entry was the debut of Justin Allison Racing, there were no previous points. However, it didn’t take long for Allison to make his way through the field. By lap five, Justin had made his way to 20th, and by lap 35, he was knocking on the door of the top-10 as he moved into the 14th position.

“I knew we had a fast car,” Allison said. “We were mid-pack during practice so I knew we’d move through the field fairly quickly during the race. When starting in the back, you just have to be patient and keep out of trouble, and that’s what we did.”

After a series of two cautions, the first coming out on lap 45 and the second on lap 59, Justin had made his way closer to the top-10. On a restart with only 28 laps to go, Allison restarted 13th, but by the time the field entered turns three and four, all chaos broke loose as drivers upfront began to crash. Allison maneuvered through all of the carnage and entered the top-10. In the end, Allison kept his nose clean and captured a ninth place finish.

“The last half of the race was wild,” Allison said. “On the next to the last restart as we were rounding turns three and four, all I saw were cars sliding in every direction. I tried my best to slow down as much as possible, but when you do that, there’s a chance you’ll get hit from behind. I went up towards the wall and was able to miss everything.”
The 2014 ARCA Racing Series season was quite a success for the 22-year old from Salisbury, N.C. In only 10 starts, Justin captured one win, three top-five and seven top-10 finishes.

“I just want to thank my family, sponsors and everyone else who made this season a success,” Allison said. “To finish out my first season in ARCA with a win and seven top-10 finishes is just unreal. I’m very humbled to have had the opportunity to compete. I’ll remember this year for the rest of my life. Hopefully the momentum will carry on towards next season.”

As for 2015, the future is unknown, but Justin hopes to continue to compete in the ARCA Racing Series. To keep up with all of the latest Justin Allison Racing news, visit www.JustinAllisonRacing.com, like Justin Allison (Official Fan Page) on Facebook and follow @justinclay88 on Twitter.

11th place Finish for Justin Allison’s First ARCA Start

(Kansas City, KS – Oct. 7, 2013) Justin Allison came home with a solid 11th place finish in his first-ever ARCA Racing Series event, the rain-shortened Kansas Lottery 98.9 which was run on Friday, Oct. 4, at the Kansas Speedway.Originally scheduled for 99 laps, ARCA and track officials shortened the race by 34 laps for safety reasons due to the rain and threatening weather in the area.

Allison qualified 11th in the No. 88 HAVACOSALES.COM Ford Fusion powered by RoushYates Engines, and once the green flag flew, he was able to maneuver through the field and make his way as high as 6th at one point.

Several cautions slowed the race allowing Crew Chief Howard Bixman plenty of chances to boost Allison’s confidence as much as possible. At one point, Bixman told him over the radio, “You’re doing a great job out there. Many drivers are out there to gain Championship points so they’re driving aggressively. Just stay smart and stick to our game plan, and you’ll be in great shape.”Bixman made the call to bring in the No. 88 HAVACOSALES.COM Ford Fusion during a caution on lap 35 for four Hoosier tires and Sunoco fuel, but made no adjustments. While Allison was making his way down pit road, Bixman then decided to bring him back down pit road again for fuel only before the green flag flew, and this gave the No. 88 enough gas to make it to end.

With a possible tornado in the area, ARCA officials felt it was best to clear the grandstands, so they announced on lap 55 that the race would end in 10 laps. At that time, Allison was in 16th and had to make up as much as ground as possible in the short time available, and he was able to climb to 11th.“We had a top 5 car here for sure,” Allison said. “I hate to see the race end so early when we were the first car with fresh tires and enough fuel to make it to the checkered flag. This was a great start to my ARCA racing career, and I look forward to working with Team BCR and Howard in the future. I’d like to thank the HaVACo group for coming out to watch the race, and I would like to thank the rest of my marketing partners for being a part of my debut; Rush Racing Products, Rick and Bubba Sausage produced by Polk’s Meat and Husky Liners. I greatly appreciate it.”

Bixman was equally thrilled with the results.

“Justin has some amazing driving talents, and I can already tell the family legacy will continue to live on,” Bixman said. “Justin has given me a lot to look forward to, and I can’t wait to work with him even more in the future. If the race wasn’t shortened, I have no doubts Justin would have came home with a top 5 finish and possibly have been a contender for a win. He has a very bright future ahead of him.”

Justin Allison is grandson of NASCAR legend Donnie Allison and great nephew of Bobby Allison. Donnie attended the race to support his grandson and could not be more proud of Justin’s first performance on a major racing circuit.

“I think Justin did a tremendous job being that it was his first race ever in this type of car on this big of a racetrack,” Donnie Allison said. “I think he showed everybody his abilities as a race car driver.”

Team BCR Racing and Development Team, located in Mooresville, N.C, has positioned itself to become a first-rate driver development team that seeks out talented drivers and provides them with a quality equipment with the goal of grooming them for successful entry into NASCAR various racing series.

NEXT RACE FOR THE PASS SUPER LATE MODEL CAR IS AT SOUTHERN NATIONAL SPEEDWAY ON APRIL 13TH.

Hickory Motor Speedway

March 30, 2013 – Hickory Motor Speedway-had a good fast car in practice on Friday but had a fire under the hood in Saturday practice.Thought we had her fixed and qualified in the top 20 for the PASS Easter Bunny 150 but after the first few laps in the race had other damage from the fire that caused Justin to drop out of the race.

Myrtle Beach Speedway and Dillon Motor Speedway

March 16, 2013 – Myrtle Beach Speedway race-had a good qualifying run, 9th fastest overall but started from the 5th spot in a redraw for qualifying positions…ran about 25 laps in 5th until there was a bad vibration which forced Justin out of the race towards the end of the 150 lapper.
March 4, 2013 – Dillon Motor Speedway is the next stop on Justin’s race circuit for the year. With a new sponsor – RUSH Racing Products – he will be running his Roush-Yates powered Ford Fusion late model in the PASS Super Late Model race at Dillon on March 9, 2013.

2012 News

June 30, 2012 –  Southern National – After qualifying 7th and running in the top five most of the night, Justin was involved in a wreck on lap 87 of the 125 lapper that took him out of the race with front end damage.
June 29, 2012 8:15pm – While Justin turned some really fast laps in practice today, the temperature soared to 107 degrees and much higher than that on the track. Temperatures for tomorrow are forcasted to be even hotter.
June 29, 2012- Justin is at Southern National Raceway Park practicing today for the 125 lap Super Late Model race tomorrow, Saturday June 30th. The track is a 4/10 mile located in Kenly, NC.  He was at the dyno yesterday and things went well so he is hoping for a good qualifying run and finish.  There has been a good field of cars at Kenly since the track reopened earlier this year and Justin will have some fierce competition.  Tomorrow the pit gate opens at 11:00am with practice at 2:00pm and qualifying at 5:00pm.  The green flag drops at 7:00pm.  Good Luck Justin!
May 26, 2012-Concord Motor Speedway CV Products 125- Justin started 20th and made his way up to the 10th spot by lap 10 of the race.  He avoided a major wreck and then was coming up on 6th place when he tapped the wall while running outside of Jay Fogleman.  He ran several more laps but the car had some minor damage that affected the handling so he had to park the car and finished in 19th place.
May 11, 2012-Wake County Speedway- Justin ran fast times in practice, qualified 13th and finished in the 10th spot in the 125 lapper…bringing the car home in one piece in the P.A.S.S. Super Late Model race at the 1/4 bullring track near Raleigh, NC.
4/21/2012 … “Orange County Speedway” … Justin Allison finally got to run his Ford Fusion “Grillin’ Sauce” #1 car at the “Pass 150” lap race at Orange County Speedway on Saturday night.  Just like the other races we have attempted, he ran really good in practice but our crate motor just won’t make the speed to qualify.  Justin started 22 out of the 26 cars there and it didn’t take but about fifteen laps for him to get in the top 15. He was patient all night as he worked his way into the top 10.  Justin did an excellent job of managing his tires, as the race was 150 green flag laps, and Justin was sitting in 9th place on the last restart with 30 laps to go.  With some awsome racing, as the laps were winding down, Justin moved into 7th place. He had his sights set on moving up, until interference with a lap car cost him too much ground on the track to make up in the short number of laps remaining, so Justin had to settle for a 7th place finish.

The race “felt like a victory for him and the effort of his whole team”.  It was a great confidence booster for Justin after running so good in practice at the other events, but not being able to qaulify. The next race will be at Wake County Speedway on May 11th for the Pass 125 lapper.  As it looks right now, we may have our new engine for that event from Doug Yates and all the great guys at RoushYates Engines. We really look forward to competing in the remainder of the “Pass South” Super Late Model races, but right now we are taking them one at a time depending on sponsorship.
